Short Line Bus (Phone: 201-529-3666) service from Mahwah to Port Authority Bus Terminal in mid-town Manhattan. The approximate time is 45 minutes and departures are frequent. Suffern ticket stop on Orange Avenue is the most convenient stop for Mahwah residents.

Train Transportation

Jersey Transit (Phone: 973-275-5555) provides travel and commuter services from Mahwah to Hoboken via its Main/Bergen line where PATH connection is made to Newark, Jersey City or New York City.

The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Department handles automobile registration and learner's permits. The hours for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Department are Monday through Wednesday and Fridays, 8 am to 4:30 pm, and Thursdays from 8 am to 7:30 pm. They are closed on legal holidays.
