March 26, 2003
The Environmental Commission meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. by John Brotherton, Chairman. The opening statement was made. Roll call was taken.

The following tenant applications were approved:
Prestige Management Services, 100 Corporate Drive, storage of motor vehicles
KKII Restaurant Corp., 150 Franklin Turnpike, restaurant
SOIL MOVEMENT PERMIT APPLICATIONS
After review of applications received, the following memo was written to the Administrative Officer:
“The Environmental Commission reviewed the following applications at our meeting held on March 26, 2003. Comments are listed below.
G. Malandruccolo, 34 Great Hall, Bl. 23.02, Lot 10, E-BD-216-239-348, dated 3/17/03.
We note that 53 trees are to be removed and there will be 13 replacement trees. Please have the applicant complete the “tree preservation application form” so that we can review the tree varieties selected for the replacement trees. The applicant is reminded that future street tree plantings by Darlington Associates should be kept under consideration when completing the landscaping plan.
B. LaBarbera, 141 Campgaw Road, Bl. 22, Lot 6, E-BD-216-1438, amended 3/1/7/03- approved.
Woodford Mooers, 82 Walsh Drive, Bl. 21.08, Lot 21, E-BD-216-239-349, dated 3/25/03. Landscaping improvements – approved.
45 Franklin LLC, 45 Franklin Turnpike, Bl. 70, Lots 1 & 2, Dkt. 449S, dated 2/20/03.
We approve the soil movement application, but remind the Planning Board of our comments on the site plan application.”
Received memo from Denise Storms about ordering new letterhead, envelopes, etc. with the new municipal building mailing address.
We received several emails from Richard Levine of 123 W. Ramapo Avenue voicing his concern about the condition of some street trees and the trimming of trees along Rockland Electric lines.
Earth Day Clean Up – Susan Golz spoke to MHS student (Priscilla) about the details for the Earth Day clean up on May 3rd. Susan also explored the possibility of the MHS students getting involved in water testing.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m. The next meeting of the Environmental Commission will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 300B Route 17 South, Mahwah, N.J.
