SIGN PROJECT/LAKE HENRY
Susan Golz reported on research she completed on sign companies. She selected Pannier Graphics as a sign company which has what we need. They can do a digitized sign on fiberglass which is mounted on a pedestal. Price for 18” x 22” sign is $205. each, plus $300.00 for the frame/pedestal. Shipping is extra: estimated to be $150.00 for three signs. We are hoping the DPW could install the signs.
J. DeWan will send Pannier the paperwork to become an official vendor of the town. Quotes will also be obtained from other companies, such as Envirosign and Precision Signs.
Susan discussed ideas for the aquifer sign. This will be an interpretive sign near the well house and bridge. J. DeWan will send Maja Britton Susan’s sample of the sign as well as specs on the computer programs needed by Pannier to do sign graphics.
Other possible ideas for signs: threatened species, native animals, nocturnal animals, poison ivy warning sign, no dogs, carry in/carry out.
The meeting was adjourned at 9 p.m. The next meeting of the Environmental Commission will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 475 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, N.J.
