The meeting of the Environmental Commission was called to order by John Brotherton, Chairman. The Opening Statement was made. Roll call was taken.

The minutes of the meeting held on March 24, 2004 were accepted as submitted.
ANJEC GRANT/ UPDATE OF NATURAL RESOURCE INVENTORY
• Commission members were pleased to learn of the Town’s financial support of $650.00 from the 2004 Budget. The application was submitted to ANJEC March 26, 2004.
• Creating an internship position at the college or high school level to work on the grant was discussed.
• Susan Golz stated that ANJEC needs a letter of support of the project from the Environmental Commission and a letter from the town certifying financial support. J. Brotherton will handle getting letters sent.
SITE PLAN REVIEW
Albert Papanian, Dkt. 471 - Approved.
The following applications were approved:
Lorenzo Landscapes & Design, Cedar Hill Ave. – landscape; Moxell Technology, Inc., 300 Corporate Drive – sales/marketing/engineering office; ITW Texwipe, 300B Route 17 S., general office/warehouse
It was reported that a utility (O&R or Verizon) cuts trees behind UPS.
Memo to S. Spiech, DPW re: balled trees at the mulching center.
The next meeting of the Environmental Commission will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 475 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, N.J.
