HOUSING COMMISSION MEETING
Tuesday, January 21, 2003
Chairman, Dr. Bernard Ross, who read the Open Public Meeting Act Statement prescribed by law, called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. Notice of the meeting was published in the Ridgewood News on June 28, 2002, posted in the Township Hall and filed in the Township Clerk’s office.
Minutes of the meeting are available from the Township Clerk, the Secretary of the Housing Commission and the Municipal Web Site upon adoption by the Commission.

Present: Brotherton, Calandrillo, Plicinski, Raiz, Ross, Snyder
Donna Tamayne, Associate Township Attorney was present.
Plicinski made a motion to approve the minutes of December 3, 2002 Housing Commission meeting. Snyder seconded. Brotherton and Calandrillo abstained due to absence.
On a motion by Snyder, seconded by Brotherton the meeting was opened to the Public. Motion approved.
No Public in attendance.
Calandrillo moved to close the Public Portion. Brotherton seconded. Motion passed.
Correspondence was reviewed.
Housing Manager’s Reports
Reports were reviewed.
Tamayne will contact the Foreclosure Specialist concerning the unit on Poet’s Way for the name of the Attorney handling the Foreclosure.
Wiley, Township Planning Board & Zoning Administrative Officer is working with Stolarz, Township Tax Assessor on Development Fees figures for Dial America and Stryker Howmedica Osteonics.
a. Draft letter to finance companies –Affordable Housing Foreclosures-letter was reviewed.
Calandrillo made the motion to approve the letter and have it sent to all servicing companies. Plicinski seconded.

The Affordable Housing Dept. will notify all individuals, servicing companies, and lending institutions of affordable units, that the Township must receive notice of foreclosure on affordable housing units.
b. Draft letter- Unit Expirations-Options to Buy- Tabled
The next Housing Commission meeting is Tuesday, February 18, 2003.
At 8:25 P.M. Raiz made the motion for Closed Session to discuss matter of litigation. Plicinski seconded. Motion carried.
At 8:55 P.M. Brotherton made the motion to return to the Public meeting. Snyder seconded. Motion approved.
Being no further business Plicinski made a motion for adjournment at 8:55 P.M., seconded by Calandrillo. Motion approved.
