The meeting was called to order at 7:42 p.m.

MINUTES: Mrs. Shanley moved to approve the June 17, 2004 minutes as read and Mr. Bristow seconded the motion. All approved.
PUBLIC SESSION: None at this time
CHAIR’S REPORT: Mrs. Drago reported that she had received a phone call from Mrs. LaSpina of 6 Bogert Court regarding the status of the Isaac Bogert house. Mrs. Drago called Mrs. LaSpina and invited Mrs. LaSpina to attend the July HPC meeting to express her concerns about the Bogert house.
Mrs. Drago reported that Mrs. DeScherer will be attending the August 12, 2004 meeting, and, at that time, will review with the Commission Roberts Rules for Boards and Commissions.
Mrs. Drago reported that Mr. McCabe will be attending the July 12, 2004 Planning Board meeting on behalf of the HPC’s concerns regarding the Mahwah Land LLC request to amend the Planning Board’s decision to save the stone cottage. The property owner is now requesting permission to demolish the stone cottage. Mrs. Drago will forward Mr. McCabe photo’s of a similar stone cottage as a point of reference.

Mahwah Museum: Mrs. Greene reported that the Museum will be opening this Fall. Mr. Bristow reported that the Train Station Museum will remain open on weekends, during the summer
Moffatt Road Cemetery: Mr. Bristow reported that they will be planning a summer planting.
GENERAL DISCUSSION: The secretary reported that Property Maintenance Inspector, John Lane, has contacted the owner of 17 Hillside Road regarding the debris on the property and the property owners on Glasgow Terrace, and Ramapo College regarding the upkeep on the stone pillars.
On behalf of the HPC, Mrs. Drago will send Mr. Nichols a thank you note for his years of service on the HPC.
Mrs. Greene reported that she received a phone call from a Mr. Chris Jochin, (30 River Court, Suite 802, Jersey City 07310 917-257-7227) who reported that he is the new owner of Vista Bahn and is looking forward to working with the Commission.
BUDGET: No bills were presented.
Mr. Bristow made a motion for adjournment at 8:05 p.m. and Mrs. Greene seconded the motion. All approved.
