SOIL MOVEMENT PERMIT APPLICATIONS
Winhoffer, 122 Seminary Drive, E-BD-216-239-337
Residents Mariels and Ernest Winhoffer were present with their engineer, H. Schlesinger, and attorney, Ken Meiser. The Winhoffers reside at 122 Seminary Drive. They were at the meeting to discuss the June 17th soil movement application. They had a problem after cutting down trees without a permit and need approval of the Township Council and Environmental Commission to continue. After discussion of the plans for the property (children’s recreation area), the Environmental Commission sent a memo to the Administrative Officer and the Township Clerk, as follows:
“Re: Winhoffer, 122 Seminary Drive, E-BD-216-239-337
The Environmental Commission reviewed the soil movement permit application for Ernest and Mariels Winhoffer, 122 Seminary Drive, Bl. 23.02, Lot 1. The applicant agrees to two replacement trees. The resident must honor the wetland lines within the lot.” cc: John Lane
Graceffo, 100 Vanderbeck Lane, E-BD-216-1340
According to the application, no eligible trees are being removed.
After review of the application, a memo was written to the Administrative Officer.
“The Environmental Commission reviewed the soil movement permit application for A. Graceffo, 100 Vanderbeck Lane, Bl. 161. Lot 17.
• Please review the amount of surface area proposed for the driveway. We recommend it be reduced.
• Imported soil should be tested.
• We recommend the installation of orange snow fence to delineate the boundary of the wetlands transition area.”
Memo to Township Council
Re: Widening of Franklin Turnpike
“Please inform the County and the Township Engineer to include the Environmental Commission in the details of the road widening and tree removal at Franklin Turnpike and Miller Road and the Veteran’s Park area. We would like to review any maps or correspondence on this subject.
Just a reminder, please be aware that the huge Ailanthus altissima tree located in the Fleet Bank property is a specimen which should not be harmed.”
A long discussion took place on the excessive removal of trees at the Rt. 202 recreation property.
